Frequently Asked Questions
Can you guarantee I will get an increase if I get a medical exam?
Battle Ready Benefits provides access to a network of licensed medical providers. The providers within our network share a common goal, which is to help Veterans obtain the benefits they deserve, but only Veterans Affairs can make the ruling decision on any claim submitted. If your disabilities warrant an increase and your DBQ’s are completed correctly, you have a high probability of success. Battle Ready Benefits does not make any promises or guarantees.
Does Battle Ready Benefits charge for services?
We offer a free initial review to see if your symptoms potentially suggest a higher rating is appropriate or to see if your needs can be best served by Attorney representation or a nexus letter. The fees charged for an exam and dbq’s cover the cost of the medical exam, time spent reviewing records, and time spent generating dbq’s that are accurate. For the nexus letter service, fees cover the medical professional’s costs for research, reviewing records, and composing an unbiased and accurate opinion letter. Our partner firms have their own fee agreements that they will discuss with you, but Battle Ready Benefits does not charge you any additional fee for their services.
Do you have any payment plans or financing options?
For our medical exam services and nexus letters, we do offer multiple payment plans. We have 3 month, 4 month, and 6 month payment plan options we can discuss with you. All fees must be paid in full before you receive any letter or DBQ.
Is the cost worth it?
The cost may seem high at first glance, but the quality of the evidence documentation you receive is worth the price. If awarded an increase, the cost is usually less than the back pay most people will receive if they filed their intent to file as recommended. We can discuss this with you in more detail during our review.
Is Battle Ready Benefits Accredited?
We are not accredited by the VA. If your situation warrants help from a VA accredited Attorney, we do have partner firms that can assist you.
Can I still work with a VSO or an Accredited Attorney?
Yes, you are encouraged to use the services of a VSO if you need help filing your claims or if you have questions related to your benefits. Many attorneys work with us for their clients to get accurate evidence to support their appeals so that should not be an issue, but we suggest speaking with your Attorney first to ensure your actions don’t interrupt their case strategies.
Does Battle Ready Benefits help me file my DBQ’s or claim?
We do not help file your paperwork. We are not accredited so we cannot assist in filing anything related to your claim. We do provide you with instructions on how to file and where to file which is information that is readily available information from the VA website. Only an accredited person authorized by the VA can file or help you file.
Should I file a claim to increase my benefits?
If your service-connected disabilities have gotten worse, it may be time to file a claim with the VA and submit documentation that reflects the current state of your condition. Our DBQ services are available nationwide and abroad. The DBQs we supply will detail your conditions based on your current conditions. Accurate medical documentation does not guarantee your desired outcome, but it is an essential step in the claim filing process as it provides strong and stable support to your claim.
